Privacy Statement

• The HitranLab application does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any user data.

• All file loading, parsing, spectral calculations, plotting, and related processing are performed locally on the user’s Mac. HitranLab does not send HITRAN files, spectra, input parameters, activation information, usage history, or any other user-generated content to external servers.

• HitranLab does not use analytics, advertising trackers, crash-reporting services, telemetry systems, or third-party data-collection frameworks.

• If the user chooses to open a HITRAN .par file or another supported local file, that file remains on the user’s device and is used only for local processing within the app.

• HitranLab does not require an internet connection for normal operation, except where the user independently chooses to download HITRAN data from an external source using a web browser or other software outside of HitranLab.

Important Notes:

• HitranLab does not include the HITRAN database. Users are responsible for obtaining HITRAN data files separately from the official HITRAN site [link to site].

• HitranLab is an independent application. It is not an official HITRAN product and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the HITRAN database or the Atomic and Molecular Physics Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center.
